Banana is a versatile ingredient and pairs well with many fruits. It adds the perfect thickness and creamy consistency to the smoothie. And it goes without saying that bananas are a great source of potassium, fiber and other key vitamins!
Blueberry Banana Smoothie
Hands down, the best looking smoothie on this list! The anthocyanins which gives blueberries its beautiful deep purple color makes this smoothie look so pretty. It is packed with antioxidants and has anticancer and antidiabetic properties too.
Keeping this smoothie simple, we only need frozen blueberries and banana. In addition to the fruits, you can add yogurt / kefir and almond milk to achieve a smooth and creamy consistency.
Add all of the ingredients into the blender. Pour it into your favorite glass and you can additionally top it with fresh blueberries and mint leaves!
Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie
I am a huge peanut butter fan! Pair that with banana in a smoothie and I lose my mind! If you are crazy about PB like I am, this is the first smoothie you should try out!
In the blender, add in peanut butter, banana, yogurt, cinnamon and almond milk, and blend until smooth.

You might think that spinach is the last thing you would want in your smoothie. But, believe it or not, it tastes heavenly when paired with mangoes! I was pleasantly surprised when I had it my first time. There’s a reason it made the top 5 best smoothie recipes, right? 😁
In the blender, add in a packed cup of spinach, cut mango, yogurt, almond milk and some honey to seal the deal. You can top this smoothie with freshly cut mango wedges and mint leaves!
Strawberry Banana Smoothie
Strawberry smoothies are a summer staple! But you need not bother buying fresh strawberries only to have them rot before you could make your smoothies! Just get a packet of frozen strawberries! In addition, you need banana, yogurt and orange juice. The orange juice adds a tangy, bold kick to the smoothie!
Blend it all together and you can top it with some fresh strawberries and maybe an orange wedge!
Mango Smoothie
Mangoes just bring back childhood memories of warm summers in India. Nothing else tastes as divine as a mango, so it’s not a surprise that it made it to this list of the 5 best smoothie recipes! It’s a tropical delight and only really available in stores during the summer and late spring time. Check you local Indian grocery stores for the sweeter mango varieties! So hurry, get your fresh mangoes for your smoothie!
In a blender, add in the cut mango, along with yogurt, almond milk and my secret, power ingredient, turmeric powder! Although it’s up to you, I strongly recommend adding a pinch of turmeric to your smoothie! Turmeric has unbelievable health benefits, it helps prevent heart disease, cancer, inflammation and cholesterol amongst other things. More importantly, it completes the taste of this mango smoothie! 😜
You can top the mango smoothie with mint leaves and freshly cut mango.
